About Us
The passion for Spaniels in Mauro Zanasi, owner of the "Della Giuliana" Kennels, started in 1966 when he bought a tawny female of English Cocker Spaniel; the daughter of a famous French champion, Herrato De Le Creste child of Court Jester Of Ware; from an Italian breeder. In 1967 she placed first several times in Shows, so Mauro decided to pair her with an imported English champion, SH.CH Quatadene Bronze Idol, but his owner and breeder, for obvious reasons was contrary to this. As a result of this, Mauro Zanasi then decided to pair her with a grandchild of Herrato De Le Crests. Golden Magic Della Giuliana was born from this pairing thus bringing an end to the importation of the great English champions which at that time was the norm for all Italian breeders and wealthy buyers of pure breed dogs. From then onwards; every year, Mauro Zanasi, paired his spaniels with English blood breeds present in Italy, that is: Quatadene Bronze Idol, Gatehampton Billy Basher, Scotwod-Wanlord, Merryborne, Astrawin, Peelers Dark Justice, Settnor Sunderboy, Weirdene , Lochranza, Bromleaf, Kavora, Lorius etc. thus starting a new family of champions. And lately Summerland Batman importation from Argentina............
...........In 1974 he decided to buy a beautiful English Springer Spaniel, Topo Del Pesco, son of SH.CH. Stokeley Teesview Top Of The Morning and Silveroak Electra, with which he enjoyed hunting and which he also exhibited in Shows. A very important immission was a female named Ha,,wkill Cristmas Song, that also gave great help to our selection it. At one point, Mauro decided to pair him with a Valmarco stock farm female, and from this pairing, "Tim Della Giuliana", the first and also the only worldwide champion of beauty 1980 was born and bred in Italy. The blood lines present in our Springer Spaniels, are: Stokeley, Hawkill, Teesviev, Mompesson, Wadeson, Calvdale, Drakespur, Bomaris, Rowentre , and lately Spankis, with blood Plaiglein, and with blood Wernak.It is therefore thanks to the love and the thorough competence of Mauro Zanasi and his wife ,Giuliana, to whom the kennels have been dedicated to, and also to their son Stefano, that today, after thirty years, the Della Giuliana Kennels are an inspiration for many breeders. Their motto is "For others it is the exception, for us it is the norm" ! This is the result of selection based on distinction and particulars which differentiate their breed from normal breeds
In the history of our breeding we have always had the particular ability to unite the morphological beauty of the standard, uniting her/it to the functionality of these races from us raise, for the reality motive, that these races are been created. The beautiful one for us has to be functional, therefore as such it has to have every his/her I meticulously aim selected. Then the standard on the construction and the standard on the way of going to hunting that these dogs were born for serving the man to the best. In this way from 39 years, we give our serious and professional contribution, and of authenticity on every mental and morphological tone that the Cockers Spaniel English and Springer Spaniel English have to have, always in the respect and in the guardianship that they is been created and of the standard to them reported. Then we give Cocker Spaniel English and Springer Spaniel English that well they show in the expos, and that if used to hunting, they develop his/her own job with authentic style, and natural instinct is in the methodology of it looks for and in the amount carried over, all meticulously with natural dowries, that the point of strength of a serious kennel.
