About Us The passion for Spaniels in Mauro Zanasi, owner of the "Della Giuliana" Kennels, started in 1966 when he bought a tawny female of English Cocker Spaniel; the daughter of a famous French champion, Herrato De Le Creste child of Court Jester Of Ware; from an Italian breeder. In 1967 she placed first several times in Shows, so Mauro decided to pair her with an imported English champion, SH.CH Quatadene Bronze Idol, but his owner and breeder, for obvious reasons was contrary to this. As a result of this, Mauro Zanasi then decided to pair her with a grandchild of Herrato De Le Crests. Golden Magic Della Giuliana was born from this pairing thus bringing an end to the importation of the great English champions which at that time was the norm for all Italian breeders and wealthy buyers of pure breed dogs. From then onwards; every year, Mauro Zanasi, paired his spaniels with English blood breeds present in Italy, that is: Quatadene Bronze Idol, Gatehampton Billy Basher, Scotwod-Wanlord, Merryborne, Astrawin, Peelers Dark Justice, Settnor Sunderboy, Weirdene , Lochranza, Bromleaf, Kavora, Lorius etc. thus starting a new family of champions.
